Every cell in your body has a nerve that goes to it. The same nerve that goes to a muscle or skin cell also goes to the organs, glands, tissues and blood vessels in that area. Your brain and central nervous system control how all parts and systems of your body perform their functions. Irritation to nerves can cause functional problems like headaches, fatigue, sinus allergies and sleep problems, irritability and digestive problems. It can cause sensory problems like pain, tension, tingling and numbness.

Chiropractic care is similar to removing a pebble from a shoe. Have you ever had a pebble in your shoe?

A tiny pebble can drive you crazy because of its constant irritation and pressure on a nerve. At first, it feels like pressure, then an irritation and finally, pain.

What did you do about the pebble? You took your shoe off and took it out - right? You didn't take a drug to solve the pain in your foot, not did you consider surgery. Rather, you eliminated the source of the pain by shaking the pebble out of your shoe. Physical problems respond to physical solutions, and that's what chiropractors do.

Chiropractors are nerve doctors. They treat your nerves without drugs and surgery. They are trained to locate tiny areas of irritation to your nerves and remove them safely and painlessly. By removing irritation, chiropractic allows your body to function properly and to heal itself.

Chiropractic care is very effectively supplemented with nutritional therapy. Nutritional deficiencies and improper diet can cause or contribute to many health problems such as tiredness, chronic fatigue, respiratory problems, digestive troubles, high cholesterol, heart problems, depression, hyperactivity and many other chronic health problems. What you eat will help you feel and look great or it will make you feel and look lousy.

The definition of food is "anything that is taken into a body to nourish it, to enable it to repair tissue, to enable it to grow and to keep it alive". Nutritional therapy is vital because of today's agra- business. Most foods only have a small fraction of the nutritional value that they had just 30 years ago. Since food is fuel for your body, chances are you're getting inadequate fuel for all your body's needs.

A well-designed nutritional program will correct deficiencies, restore proper balances (often leading to effortless weight loss) and help bring about an optimum state of health.
